McGarvey Bourbon Balls
¼ c soft butter¼ c bourbon1 lb powdered sugar1 tlbs white syrup (Karo)40 pecan halves (optional)
If you choose to use pecans, soak them in the bourbon overnight. Mix butter, bourbon drained from pecans, sugar and syrup to form dough. Wrap dough around a pecan half to form a ball. Place on waxed paper on cookie sheet, cover and chill. If you don’t use pecans, just form balls and chill.
Melt in top of double boiler:2 squares of bitter chocolate2 squares semi sweet chocolate1 inch paraffin
Dip each ball, put on wax paper and chill. Keep covered in refrigerator.
